Nobody sleeps in the Valley of Flowers itself. A normal trip uses three kinds of bed: a simple lodge in Ghangaria for the trekking nights, a hotel in Joshimath (or Auli, Pipalkoti or Govindghat) on the way up and down, and something more comfortable in Rishikesh or Haridwar at either end.
An honest note. Ghangaria is a seasonal mule-supplied village at 3,050 metres. Its lodges are basic, and only a few of them are bookable online — the three we list are the ones we could confirm on Trip.com. Many trekkers simply find a room on arrival, stay at the government tourist rest house or the tented camps, or shelter at the gurudwara. In the peak weeks it is worth having something reserved.
We do not print nightly rates: prices on this route swing sharply between the short season and the rest of the year. Every card links out to Trip.com for live availability.
