Green meadows and forest in the Valley of Flowers with snow peaks beyond

Valley of Flowers Treks & Tours

Guided treks to the valley, pilgrim circuits that pass its trailhead, and good ways to spend a day in Rishikesh or Haridwar — compared and bookable in a couple of taps.

You can do the Valley of Flowers independently — the trail is obvious and lodges are easy to find — but the logistics are fiddly: a ten-hour mountain drive, a road that landslides can close, jeeps, mules and a village with no ATM. A package that bundles transport, rooms and a guide removes most of that friction, which is why many first-time visitors book one.

An honest note on coverage. GetYourGuide lists only a handful of Valley of Flowers treks, and at the time of writing they are new listings with no customer reviews yet. We include every one we could verify, say plainly what each covers, and pad nothing: the rest of this page is made up of real, relevant products on the same road — Char Dham tours that include Badrinath, other Uttarakhand treks, and well-reviewed day tours in Rishikesh, Haridwar and Devprayag where your trip begins and ends.

Everything is booked through GetYourGuide, which means secure payment and free cancellation on most options. Prices are indicative "from" prices in US dollars as listed by GetYourGuide and change with season and group size — tap any card for the live price in your own currency. Before booking a trek, read what is included: park entry fees, mules, porters, helicopter tickets and meals on the trail are often extra.

Booking questions

Frequently asked questions

Should I book a package or go independently?

Both work. Independent travel is cheaper and flexible; a package saves you arranging the long drive, rooms in Ghangaria and a guide. If it is your first Himalayan trek or you are short of time, a package is the easier choice.

What is usually included in a Valley of Flowers trek?

Typically transport from Rishikesh or Haridwar, accommodation, some or all meals and a guide. Park entry, mules, porters, the helicopter and personal expenses are usually extra. Check the listing carefully.

Is three days enough?

Only just, and only if nothing goes wrong. The drive alone is around ten hours each way. We recommend five or six days so that you can see both the valley and Hemkund Sahib and absorb a road delay.

Do the treks include Hemkund Sahib?

Some do and some leave it optional. If Hemkund matters to you, confirm with the operator that the itinerary has a second full day at Ghangaria.

What if the road is blocked or the park is closed?

Landslides and heavy rain can close the highway or the park for a day or more in the monsoon. Choose a product with free cancellation, keep a buffer day before your flight home and ask the operator how they handle delays.

Why are prices shown in US dollars?

That is how GetYourGuide lists them for international visitors. When you click through you can switch to rupees or any other currency.
